This classic 150 capacity, no-frills décor venue is steeped in musical history. Inside there's a mix of scattered wooden tables and leather Chesterfield sofas, with an upright piano for a traditional English pub feel. A large standing area in front of a good sized stage encourages intimate interaction with performers. Along with the main bar area, there's a small bar away from the main music area that gives people a chance to chat. This leads to a small outside smoking area. Low entry prices combined with a late bar (1am), with probably the cheapest drinks in the area, help to make it an attractive night out.

SOULFUL Pop and R&B!
PATRICIA HILL is a pop singer from Vienna, Austria. Besides several singing contests (Miniplayback Show, The Voice 2002) and transverse flute lessons, Patricia started classical singing education at the age of 13, as well as dancing education in ballet and figure skating. Ever since, Patricia focused on her singing career and participated in several bandprojects. During that time she toured through Germany, Greece and the UK (Cambridge Rock Festival, Rock and Bike Festival, Cavern Club/ Liverpool, interviews at BBC radio etc.).
Her solo-project "Patricia Hill" was founded back in 2015. The dance songs of her selftitled debut EP-album (released in February 2017) with powerful and catchy choruses take the listener back to the 90s, whereas emotional ballads provide the romance.
Some highlights for Patricia as a solo-artist were her appearance at the Eurovision Songcontest VIP-Lounge, as well as Europe’s biggest Juvenile Basketball Tournament at the Wiener Stadthalle, in New York City, Budapest and the Viennese Donauinselfest.
Her acoustic band consists of LIONEL BOZEK (Guitar) and LORENZO GANGI (Percussion). Their repertoire contains original songmaterial as well as various Pop, Soul and RnB Hits. This band formation features a melodic guitar, an infectious beat and a multi-faceted voice; a show for all to see.
7.30pm - ONLY £5 entry

Raised by chimps and convent-educated, Hot Doggy first met at a disciplinary hearing of The Pipe Club of London, following contemporaneous but unrelated accusations of gross misconduct with a walnut lumberman. Tortoise heads. Every member is a classically-trained onanist, and it was their shared love of - and God-given talent for - this artform which inevitably led to the formation of the band. Dipping into the kitty. The band's extensive list of eclectic musical influences includes Bernard Cribbins, Arthur Mullard, Bruce Forsyth and Jonathan & Darlene Edwards. Their style icons are Barry and, to a lesser extent, Paul Chuckle. When they're not busy making music, the gents like to relax by playing* darts**.
The band started in the summer of 2017 as a project between songwriters Jamie Brace and Pauline Campbell. Since then, after enlisting the extensive talents of Richard Innocent, Harris Shallcross and Ryan Hunter, the band has flourished creatively and are now set to release their debut EP, "As Colours Blend", on the 27th of April.

Science gone, indeed, too far!! With Manu (Thee Tumbitas) on drums, and Mike Cannibal (Animal Cannibal) and Joe (Johnny Throttle) on the twin guitar assault, you know these rodents are here to bite you!! Here Come the Rats!!!

PISS IN THE WIND
The music we play has an up to date eighties alternative rock vibe. Southern rock riffs with english accents, big endings and sing along choruses.
Hailing from London, members Pete, Justin, Tim & Tomasz have known each other since school. The story is long and interesting, but in short...
We formed in 2003 and were largely focused on getting drunk and making a bit of a racket. Playing in London and Europe we had an energy and melody that suited our lifestyle. In 2006 we took a nine year break while members of the band did their own thing, some to uni, others scattered around the globe.
In 2015 we found ourselves back in the same town and came together with a more grown up, focused approach to our music. We have been writing a lot and have recorded our first EP in a decade.
2015 - 2016 we played several shows at venues such as The Good Ship (rip), Dublin Castle and Surya. We had another break whilst one member traveled around India, the rest stayed back writing more material.
We are JAM HOT the hippiest music event in London! We like pop, rock and indie! Our live music events are followed by our vintage punk, rock and ska explosive DJ set Americano!

A musical project bore by Omer Gal in 2011, Cookie Tongue, a phantasmical folkloric band based in New York exists in different formations from solo, duo to full 5-piece band. The lyrics come from Omer’s unsettled soul in full gloom.
Chester Kirkin’s otherness is susan, exploring their genderfluid selves, the music layering becomes a living in hope, Trans-dystopian electronica. They playfully cheeky yet humbly sweet, as they approach the audiences to gather closer, huddle up as we are invited into their private world. Welcoming us into a beautifully cacophony sound art journey, we are drawn into their hauntingly poetic layering of who we long to become inside the kaleidoscopic dissonant noises and abstract vocal melodies, atmospherically reverbing against our own fleshy capsules. Sinister loops encapsulating the poetic fearful decent one may have as they peer out of the closet, into the wide world of possibilities during self-discovery assembling an identity. Then susan smiles and it’s all ok, we choose.
Elvis Choinatown (AKA Buck Juicer; AKA Meat Wellington; AKA Cannonball Corpse; AKA Gordon Slicer): vocs/guits
Bean (AKA Saleem Dijon): drums/vocs/magic of friendship

Sexily shambolic and sordid garage/punk 3 piece with exotic rockabilly vibes
Kitty O’Neal Kitty O’Neal is a singer-songwriter from the U.K. In 2017, Kitty released two EPs, 'A Home' and 'OK', both receiving radio play on BBC Introducing and attracting venues in the South of England where she has supported household folk names Maz O'Connor and Meadowlark and more recently opening for rock band Band of Skulls. Mixing her folk influences heard in 'A Home' with a love of RnB and electronic sound in 'OK', she is releasing an album in 2018 ahead of her UK summer tour which promises to encapsulate both of these moods in a unique and ever-evolving sound. Kitty's poignant songwriting, paired with a distinct emotive performance, alongside her band makes for a captivating and vibrant live experience, filled with both soulful melancholy and groove.
"'Make It Yours' is everything we've come to expect from Kitty O'Neal. Her ear for an irresistible pop hook allows her to build something joyful, hopeful and undeniably catchy. It's a sign of a great songwriter when we find ourselves clicking play for the fifth time in a row." - Folkroom Records
“Shades of Nick Drake on the guitar and Joni Mitchell on the vocals” - Daily Echo
"Around the autobiographical grit of life she builds melodic pearls. Her silvery vocals twist their way into your subconscious so that you find her words and tunes continue to haunt you.”
Giving In To You is a collection of songs written during a period of restlessness, where every time I tried to take a step forward I was pulled back into a whirlwind of retreat, indecisiveness and self-doubt. My second single Without A Sound is a track written to this feeling of retreat, while my first single Make It Yours is about conquering it. The tracks on this album carry individual stories of first-hand experiences and realisations, as well as the imaginings and daydreams that surfaced from a time of instability, questioning and self-discovery. The title Giving In To You is taken from the final track For My First Love - a track written for and about music.
7.30pm - £5 OTD
Funky tunes, laid back afternoons – it’s breezy. It’s a movement, it’s soul, it’s the phosphorus on the tip of a match about to be struck, it’s buggin an thuggin, it’s Cookfathër…
Four average, cisgender, blokes trying to break the dichotomy of representational art to alleviate you from the internal anguish of existing as an individual. When we have time though, we play some half decent music.
More simply put, Cookfathër is a five piece neo-soul band from Bath/Bristol. Having been musically involved together for some time in previous projects, CookFathër arises from their ashes. Bold and unashamed, their music is of the flourishing soul revamp movement with a soon to be released single UK tour for 2018. Together, they have countless hours of stage time and are excited to add to it with this exciting new project.
Born of the Sun
Heavy Blues Rockers Born of the Sun are the children of the generation that first hand witnessed the birth of the British Blues Explosion at the Ealing Club in the 60s.
Musically educated on their parents ETERNAL VINYL recordS, the Ealing born power trio unleash gutsy sonic flare, fused with lyrical tales of lands of rising suns, rockin in the free world and highways to hell.
Sounding like rolling the good ol’ times back, wrapped up in a harder 21st century rock exo-skeleton, BORN OF THE SUN released the E.P ‘PEACE N LUV’ earlier in the year 2016, recorded at Metropolis Studios, LONDON. The band opened the year with a sonic boom.
Mohit Mukhi is a guitar player and a singer/songwriter from Mumbai. He has studied at The Institute of Contemporary music performance (London) .
Mohit's music is best described as personal and conversational. His songs are an attempt at finding the aural persona of a literary idea and are an exploration as well as a reflection of state of being, his struggles and his solace.
LOU MCLEAN began her music career as a graduate of Girls’ Rock School Edinburgh in December 2015, and her highly-praised debut EP ‘September to December’ was released in May 2016.
Since then, her style of storytelling in song has been compared to Courtney Barnett & Kate Nash, and she has earned a reputation as a great live performer & entertainer, supporting Lail Arad & Laura Stevenson.
Her second E.P. ‘Good Morning Easter Road’ was released to critical acclaim in the Scottish music press I n 8th June 2017. The record showed a maturation in style earning comparisons to Kate Nash & Frank Turner.
Her blend of acoustic pop hooks, beautifully wry lyrics and an exceptional voice adds up to a unique mix of pop sing-alongs with riot grrrl spirit.
"A gem of the Scottish underground Scene" - Tenement TV, Glasgow 2017.
