This classic 150 capacity, no-frills décor venue is steeped in musical history. Inside there's a mix of scattered wooden tables and leather Chesterfield sofas, with an upright piano for a traditional English pub feel. A large standing area in front of a good sized stage encourages intimate interaction with performers. Along with the main bar area, there's a small bar away from the main music area that gives people a chance to chat. This leads to a small outside smoking area. Low entry prices combined with a late bar (1am), with probably the cheapest drinks in the area, help to make it an attractive night out.

As featured on Planet Rock and BBC Introducing, Mallavora are Birmingham’s flagship three-piece. British rock at its finest, with punk influences to be found in both sound and performance, powerful lyrics and guitar tones appreciative of Gallows and Nirvana.
Mallavora return reinvented as a rock-trio with their brand new single “Daylight”, a hard-hitting anthem that shakes the room. This track is nothing short of truehearted British rock: blunt, bold and experimental. Its duality is captivating: the song laments about the sad reality of the life of a public figure, whilst the music video harshly addresses a person living in denial; fantasising about a fame that will never be realised.
The new direction for Mallavora has proven successful already; with more live shows than ever before including headline gigs and a mini UK tour. Stellar reviews and airplay from BBC Introducing and Planet Rock alongside gigging plans across the UK and Europe make for an exciting future for Mallavora.
Mallavora are Jack Pedersen, Larry Sobieraj and Ellis James.

LIAR LIAR is a Bristol-based synth pop outfit; boasting cool and contemplative songs you can dance to. Now in 2019, LIAR LIAR are sharing their debut single 'Take It Easy'. Produced by Sugarhouse, this summer-ready tune evokes a feeling of cat-and-mouse romance over a minimalist electro-arrangement.

Ayo Bamidele is an independent music maker based in east London, England. He has been involved in music for over 20 years. His music takes on a mixture of styles soul, jazz and folk. It’s a mellow sound, full of rich melodies and thought provoking lyrics, the main feature must be Ayo`s distinctive deep and soulful vocals. Comparisons have been made with such luminaries as Richie Havens, Van Morrison, Tracy Chapman and John Martyn.
Ayo was born in London in, his parents came to England from Nigeria in the early sixties. His early musical experiences were listening to his parents juju and highlife records, King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obe and Prince Nico are just a few of the artists. Although the songwriting started when Ayo was around 13 he didn't actually get his first guitar until four years later. So began a frustrating period of slowly learning to write songs. Not finding any vibrant musical community to join and benefit from this was a largely solitary labour of love. A turning point was attending a music summer school in 1989 and being tutored by the late Isaac Guillory.
"Playing with Isaac for a few short sessions was a revelation, he basically showed me how to turn the song lyrics and melodies into properly formed songs"

A mix of delta blues and southern gothic, Dixon's music is the soundtrack of a dark road before sunrise, a back alley as night falls, that empty house on the hill. His voice provides texture and warmth. His lyrics give characters their life. Still, something haunting always seems to be present.
Come hang with Drew and The Real Thing on the 3rd stop of their first headlining European tour!!
The Bipolar and its constellation of black roses. Symbols of eternal nights. Liberation epics. Worn by "cinematics" sounds. The time of a trip in a trance. From a dance come guts. It's cardiac, it excites. It's magnetic, it captures. Like a two-body head. A body with two hearts. Quietude as a quest. And this progression, always, turned towards the stars, still, until take-off, imminent ... It's up to you to join the crew.
Trembling people is the first single that dares to give the pulsation of this issue, with a poetic clip that crosses the streets of Brussels and extracts all the beauty and innocence of a little girl living in our world today. The Bipolar is also the originality of an EP available on a USB-shaped capsule, as to cure our fears and anxieties.

Join us on Wednesday 11th September at The Fiddlers Elbow, Camden.
There will be Hip Hop, Poetry, Singing and cake!
We've invited back two past headliners to celebrate with us....Battle Rap and UK Hip Hop Legend Tony D and the beautiful voice of Flo Kirton!

We hope you can make it! #letsdiscussmentalhealth
A veteran in both the British batte rap scene and the UK underground hip-hop scene. Former Don't Flop Champion, Tony successfully defended his title three times before giving it up. He has battled the biggest names in the battle rap world both domestically and internationally. He was also a founding member of the legendary group 'Poisonous Poets'. The group also consisted of Lowkey, Doc Brown, Reveal, Stylah, Therapist and DJ Snips.
You can find all Tony D's battles here: https://versetracker.com/rapper/tony-d
In a small market town in the UK, there is a voice that has steadily been creating beautiful music for the last few years. Flo has gone from strength to strength since she first came onto the gig scene, singing with a number of bands, including Atlas alongside Richy Spitz.
There was always more to her talent though, so when she decided to branch out into other areas and start working on her solo career, things really began to take shape. It’s thanks to her dreamlike, almost ethereal vocal style that she has become the ideal collaborator for so many artists on the UK Hip Hop scene and beyond.

Fairhazel has learnt a lot from the different cultures he grew up in. From the cobbled streets of Paris, the friendliness and openness of Cape Town to the introversion of London, what was apparent was that every city, every street and every person had a story to tell. To retell these stories through song is what Fairhazel set out to do. After being accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, he experienced a whole new culture and with it experiences that would inspire a new sound, folk music drawing lyrical and melodic influence from jazz and psychedelic music while maintaining an acoustic raw sound.
A lot of the songs that Fairhazel writes usually come out of these odd experiences or a-ha moments, others being written in a sensory deprivation tank in East London, (Director’s Daughter), or building fictitious stories around the local 7/11 cashier (Eddie from 7/11), or based on the Tibetan Bardo Thodol text (7x7). He hopes people can connect with these stories in the same way they’d connect with a film, and get attached to characters and their journeys, be it through one or several songs.
Fairhazel is the moniker for the artist Hugh Macdonald who has been releasing music for several years under his own name, doing performances for TEDx, Ronnie Scott's and Sofar as well as countless gigs across the US and the UK.

Jack The Envious is a Punk/Alternative band that fuses catchy melodies, with guitar driven songs followed by raw energy in their live shows.

In 2017, the band moved to London which followed by their 2nd EP (In Your Own Way) that also featured bonus tracks of the bands unique takes on the tracks "Wonderwall" and "Feel Good Inc."
Not long after their 2nd release, the band started to tour the UK touring extensively, playing notable venues such as the O2 Academy, Scala, The Key Club to name a few.
After finishing their long touring cycle the band started working on their 3rd release (Bleeding Honesty), producing, mixing and mastering the album independently.
Kian Russell Band
Blackstar Endorsed Artist, Kian was born in Northampton, England, to an Irish mother and English father.
Although he started playing the guitar at 7 years old, Kian's first love was Rugby. At the age of 8, Kian was diagnosed with a very rare bone disorder in his foot which stopped him playing all sport, even walking wasn't allowed for a year!
It was during this time his passion for the guitar truly started to grow.
Kian spent several years under the guidance of Anthony George back in his native England. Then a move to Washington State, USA, saw him elevate his skill set and creativity in both guitar playing and songwriting. Continuing his guitar lessons in the US took Kian to another level and further enhanced his playing abilities.
Today Kian has positioned himself as a bright up and coming guitarist that has attracted the eye of Seattle's Ayron Jones and RCA recording artist, Steve Lynch from the band Autograph, not forgetting one of the world leaders in guitar amplifiers, UK based, Blackstar.
Hailing from Valence (FR), the French Pop Punk band Yvet Garden takes his influences from early 90's band, the emerging UK Pop Punk wave and nostalgic Emo scene. This 5-piece-band mixes all of this with a drop of positive emotion to serve it in a cocktail of catchy & dreamy riffs which will bring you back to your best young years.
Yvet Garden is the reunion of 3 friends fond of pop punk music with the same enthusiasm of playing together.
These guys started as a 3-piece-band playing acoustic covers on Youtube with Rudy (Vocal), Jo & Flo (Guitar). From Blink-182 to Neck Deep going through Boston Manor, they challenged themselves by releasing one acoustic cover of their favorite pop punk bands every Thursday during several months.
Thanks to the engagement of people supporting this project, they decided to put their words and chords on their own songs.
It is time to grow as a full band in order to compose and create something bigger.
With the hiring of Max (drums) and Cyril (bass) from Malphas, the band managed to find its identity through everyone influences (90’s pop punk to new alternative wave through hardcore scene).
After 6 months of writing an EP on which they put their best, Yvet Garden recorded it at Alias Studio (with Bert & Eric from Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!) 5 tracks of various tones and themes that are composing «Twisted Tales ».
At the same time, Yvet Garden experienced their skills on stage where they defined their own way of enjoying this place. « Jumps, dynamism, balloons, monkeys... » are some terms they relate after their shows they did at Le Mistral Palace (Valence), La Cordonnerie (Romans), Jack Jack (Lyon), Le Transbordeur (Lyon), Le Bataclan (Paris), Le Backstage w/Mest (Paris) etc.
On September 21st, Yvet Garden will release their first single « Way Out » on their social networks; song that will be part of their EP « Twisted Tales » available in November.
"Meet band AAD guiding you through the Dirthouse. Sensitive guitar sounds transform into musical chaos."
January 2019 AAD released their debut album: “Tales from the Dirthouse”.
A story of losing loved ones and getting back on track again. The album contains 10 unique songs. Songs that address the entire spectrum of Alternative rock; quiet, modest, but also raw, loud and fast.
On stage the 5 piece band has an impressive performance. Whether they play a quiet song or a loud fast one, they will leave the audience breathless. Why? …….because what they do is beautiful, honest but most of all it’s real.
The band is influenced by bands such as Wilco, Radiohead, The Verve, The stone Roses, Yo la tengo and more.
Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate and friends return to the legendary Fiddler's Elbow, rising prog metal stars Final Coil, and wild metal/industrial party monsters Global Noise Attack.

Livy Star Promotions presents
Worth Taking (pop punk from San Francisco, CA)
Like many passionate songsters before him, Jerod McBrayer listened to Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American and it changed his life. His heart pounded, his veins pumped what felt like strawberry syrup, and his body felt like he was in one of those dreams where you try to run but your legs move like marshmallows. He loved it and wanted to create it.
As a creative outlet to his Atlanta punk bands, Jerod began exploring what has become Worth Taking’s sound. He loved the infectious energy of punk music, but was drawn to the way power pop-punk bands sweetened the raw punk sound to create something addictively tuneful. The pop-oriented sound also allowed him to show off his sugary vocals and explore deeper lyrical themes, such as love, hope and our ongoing struggle with morality.
In 2011, Jerod recorded Worth Taking’s first EP, singing all vocals and playing each instrument. The Anxious EP turned out to be a well-rounded five-song power pop-punk record that showcased Jerod’s command of simple, irresistible melodies, while preserving the electrifying energy of punk music. His lyrics related effortlessly to the challenges of post adolescent life, without the whiny, post-breakup discourse so prevalent in many pop- punk songs. After promoting Anxious at the Cornerstone Festival, he decided that if he was ever going to find quality band members who shared his passion, he needed to head west.
Drawn to the Bay Area for its reputation of spawning countless great bands, Jerod settled on San Francisco. Here he was introduced Chris Self, who played in the Adeline Records band, Fetish. The group quickly meshed and spent 2012 touring, writing and recording.
The new lineup also supercharged Worth Taking’s live show. Jerod’s refined vocals were finally teamed with a vibrant energy, solidifying Worth Taking as an exciting live band without the disjointed missteps of a party band—you won’t get soaked in beer if you nestle up to the front of their stage, but your girlfriend might get a few drops on her Converse.
While Jerod still wrote all the songs, the band’s second EP, Oddly Pacific, finally featured the other band members. At the end of 2012, the band streamed its first single, “I Like the Movie Version Better,” which Pittsburgh Music Magazine called, “a post power punk romp that has the feel of Taking Back Sunday mating with My Freshman Year.” The band followed the single with a fully produced video in January 2013, which received almost 1000 views in its first 24 hours on YouTube.
The rest of 2013 proved to be promising as well. Touring Japan, they offered Oddly Pacific to a crowd left elated and ready for more. Soon enough they returned to the states only to continue working on the first full-length album, “Art Imitates Art,” released in 2014.
After relentless hours of writing and recording, 2016 will be the year of “Hangman,” the band’s second full-length album. Jerod and Chris, now joined by Chase Kossack on drums, will tour the U.S. to give fans a taste of an all new Worth Taking.
Spoilers (punk rock rock from Kent)
Hailing from the compost heap of England. This Kent based 4 piece features members, Dan Goatham (7 Day Conspiracy, Southport), Ben Davis (More Than Normal), Stuart Randall and Leon Packer. Quite simply long-time friends from their local music scene, this story gets its start when Dan leaves UK punk legends SOUTHPORT. Approached by the other 3 members in turn with a view to starting a new band after hearing some earlier demos filled with new and original song ideas. Less than 30 minutes into the first practice SPOILERS was born. With catchy vocal melodies mixed with riffs that are just as at home now as they would be in the early Snuff period all played with an energy that rivals China Drum and Gorilla Biscuits in a fist fight with Osker. SPOILERS are the type of act that will let you believe they are a pop punk band then without notice slap you in the face with some melodic hardcore.
Tío Rico (grunge punk rock from Manchester)
Grunge punk from Manchester
Listen, and understand, that Tío Rico are out there! We can't be bargained with! We can't be reasoned with! We don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear and we absolutely will not stop... ever!
Tio Rico formed in 2015 , initially gravitating towards a slow ska punk sound. In September 2016 they went to Pressure Drop Studios and recorded their single Mr Big Shot with Will Farley (Stay Clean Jolene / The Leif Ericsson) which was released through Horn & Hoof Records.
The EP Business and Pleasure was recorded in July 2017, is shows the bands progression away from ska to a heavier sound.
In July 2018 Tio Rico started working on a new album "Suck it" with Ant Booth at Kesbri Studios in Bolton , they were joined by Ash on Drums in September and released the first single from it titled "Newspeak", the second single “Unfledged” was released in April 2019.
"The band’s post-Hardcore is out in force in ‘Newspeak’
and its a track that wastes no time.
Grunge rhythms pound along to a bass tuned for Hardcore Punk
but living with one foot in the Post-Hardcore 80’s”
