This classic 150 capacity, no-frills décor venue is steeped in musical history. Inside there's a mix of scattered wooden tables and leather Chesterfield sofas, with an upright piano for a traditional English pub feel. A large standing area in front of a good sized stage encourages intimate interaction with performers. Along with the main bar area, there's a small bar away from the main music area that gives people a chance to chat. This leads to a small outside smoking area. Low entry prices combined with a late bar (1am), with probably the cheapest drinks in the area, help to make it an attractive night out.

The Green Bottle Kiss is 3 piece, Alternative Rock band with Blues and Hard Rock sounds. Since formation in 2017, the band has been preparing to take their brand of dirty fuzz to crowds in and around London, with a plan to impress with their unique, hard hitting live presence and sound. Their debut EP hits digital shelves on 12 May 2017
Influenced by the 90's Grunge and Alternative scene, 70's Heavy Metal, Stoner/Sludge Rock and Traditional Blues, this London based trio has created a sound previously unheard. It is bold, dark, sexy and funky all rolled into one. For those bored of the norm, The Green Bottle Kiss' piercingly new and raw sound is something that needs to be heard.

The Groves are:
Jamie Shields (Vocals & Guitar), Phil Dalton (Guitar & Vocals), Tom Ford (Drums) and Robbie Amey (Bass).
London's greatest alcoholic urban folk band. Whisky-fuelled misdemeanour in musical form. Think of a house band from twin peaks.
Great songs, wonderful harmonies wrapped up in a heady mixture of rock, country, blues and ballads. Local lad still waiting to make good!
7.30pm - £5 OTD
New all-girl Brit rock-pop group, The Flicks, hail from Sheffield, Essex and North London. Three best friends, their gutsy ballsy attitude is echoed in their music with great songs to match, writing all their own material. Sensational vocals, and each playing instruments; guitar, bass and drums, this sets them apart from all other girl bands out there. Inspired by the likes of The Runaways, early Bangles, The Go-Go's and the Buzzcocks. The girls have a publishing deal with BMG and are set for great things.
Serpentyne was created in London in 2010 by founder members Maggie-Beth Sand and Mark Powell, inspired by a combination of early music, folk, Celtic, world and rock.
They recorded their first album, "Stella Splendens" that year, basing it on traditional mediaeval texts and tunes from England, Spain and France, arranged in their own style and blending instruments such as cittole, hurdy-gurdy, harmonium, portative organ, medieval drums, crumhorns, recorders, and Maggie's voice.
Serpentyne released their second album, "Myths & Muses" which is based on mediaeval, traditional and mythic themes, this album has a stronger rock element.
A third album "The Serpent' Kiss" is now following the same mythic & medieval themes as it's previous one, but heading into a heavier rock sound.
Singer/ Songwriter in London from Madrid with folk pop and latin influence.
She has just released her first album, Volver, produced by Ignacio Lusardi Monteverde, music & art director David Gonzalez and the collaboration of the great pianist and composer Jorge Vera.
Liam Jary is a singer/songwriter currently based in Leeds, UK who's music has an acoustic pop/rock sound with a blues rock edge.
With sweet sounding guitar melodies, flowing vocals and a rough edge to his voice it's not hard to see why his most recent EP "Reach Out" got to number 21 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts.
The unique quality in Liam's music has allowed him to grace the stage at Latitude Festival and play live sessions for BBC Radio Norfolk and Mustard TV, plus he completed a UK tour in March 2016.

John Ainsworth is a singer/songwriter from Manchester, with a unique style ranging from heavy acoustic, 12 string blues guitar with powerful rock like vocals, to soft folky classical guitar playing with expressive vocal melodies.

Sculptor and performance artist KEEF WINTER brings his Handyman aesthetic to the Fiddler's, augmenting muscular rhythms with quavering plate reverb and cheap fx. Praised by Aesthetica magazine for his "impressive architectural structures [which] instantly command one’s attention and evoke a direct response on an experiential level", Winter's performance work is equally a work of space and construction, energy and mass.
HANNAH MARSHALL & ALISON BLUNT
Hannah and Alison first met at the Yoko Ono and Fluxus exhibition at the Southbank Centre in 1997. Over coffee they started a conversation that has continued to inspire and support their creative lives to the present day, through explorative playing and developing free and structured improvisation and composition together. They quickly cultivated a rich collaboration and created live and recorded music for theatre, contemporary dance, moving image, spoken word and all manner of experimental performance. Over the years their engagements have included performances and recordings with ASITIS Collective, 'music terrorists' string trio Barrel with Ivor Kallin, the soundtrack for Skin and Bones contemporary dance directed by Marie Fitzpatrick for NottDance Fest, Eating Sound Chamber Orchestra directed by Sam Bailey, and concerts with artists including Tony Marsh, Neil Metcalfe, Evan Parker, John Edwards, Mark Sanders, London Improvisers Orchestra, Alison Blunt Ensemble, and Pierette Ensemble. They are relishing the opportunity to meet again in duo on stage at ZERO WAVES.
MARSHALL is a cellist who is continuing to extract, invent, and exorcize as many sounds and emotional qualities from her instrument as she can. She has been a regular member of Alexander Hawkins’ Ensembles and has toured in Europe and South America with Luc Ex and Veryan Weston’s ensembles – SOL 6 & 12. She also plays with Terry Day, Tim Hodgkinson, Roger Turner, Paul May, Kay Grant, and the London Improvisers Orchestra.
BLUNT is a classically-trained violinist who has been a member of the collective ASITIS and companies ‘Experiments in Spontaneous Performance’ and Apocryphal Theatre and amongst broader performance and research activities, has collaborated with writer/playwright/director Julia Lee Barclay-Morton, installation artist Allan Giddy, Butoh dancer Florencia Guerberof, visual artist Birthe Jorgensen, visual artist/film maker Kate McMillan and voice/movement artist/actor Guy Dartnell.
Neil Kagan is modular synthesist wth a particular yen for Make Nose systems. In 2015 he collaborated with FAR RAINBOW to produce the cassette album, In A State Of Weightlessness. His performance this evening will be augmented by unique and psychedelic live visuals.
Far Rainbow are an improvising duo employing drums, percussion, plastic bags, sellotape, toothbrushes, electric shavers, mains hum, and thunderstorms. Recalling "the free-spirited electronic kosmische musik that Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius may have created in their Cluster heyday if they had King Tubby rather than Conny Plank producing it.” (Paul Margree, We Need No Swords). Far Ranbow will be joined for this performance by saxophonist COLIN WEBSTER (SEX SWING, DEAD NEANDERTHALS, RAW TONK RECORDS)

Well known musician John Carty and his daughter Maggie have released a duet album with the rather catchy title of Settle Out of Court. John and Maggie Carty will play at The Fiddler's Elbow, Kentish Town on Wednesday 14th June 2017.
Fresh from his recent involvement with the Oscar nominated ‘Brooklyn’ where he arranged the music and appeared, John Carty is one of the finest names in Irish traditional music and is well known world wide. Settle out of Court, however, is all about the next generation of Cartys, and daughter Maggie confidently steps into the spotlight on both banjo and vocals. Accompaniment on the album is provided by Shane McGowan on guitar, Dónal Lunny on bouzouki, guitar and bodhrán and Paul Gurney on bass. The fourteen tracks feature a mixture of waltzes, reels, jigs and slides, with the inclusion of a number of songs that showcase Maggie’s unique voice. Her rendition of Lough Erne’s Shore was included in UK folk presenter, Mike Harding’s own personal choice of the best folk /roots music of 2016 where Mike compared Maggie’s voice to the late and great Margaret Barry – “It’s because it’s the real deal. Three chords and the truth.”
Born in London, John has been living in the Boyle area for the last 25 years and has become one of the most sought after traditional musicians in the country. In 2003 he was awarded the coveted TG4 Gradam Ceoil - Musician of the Year. Carty is constantly innovative in his playing, the degree of such innovation sees that scarcely a bar goes by where he is not seeking a new perspective yet never wavering from the essence of the given piece. Invention is tirelessly put into practice and a great deal of expression is turned out of the simplest tune. Throughout his live shows, great performances of fiddle and banjo are captured with a sense of unfaltering energy and excitement. There is an uninhibited atmosphere which shows the audience just how much he is enjoying the musical moment and invites the audience to share that spontaneous pleasure.
Joining him on stage for a selection of tunes and songs from the album will be his daughter Maggie who is an accomplished banjo player and fine traditional singer. She has been described as having found her second home on stage and has a natural stage talent. It is a hall mark of traditional music that it is handed down from generation to generation and this father and daughter gig offers the audience an insight into a living and evolving tradition that spans at least four Carty generations. As they duet together the sense of trust, honesty, unspoken understanding and pure devilment in their music will be evident. On stage the duo have a natural ease with each other and their enjoyment and sense of fun is palpable and infectious!

'The Special Guests’ were formed by drummer / guitarist Simon Holland.
With the additional talent of vocalist Enzo Esposito, originally the bass player and vocalist of seminal Mod band Squire and lead vocalist & guitarist of the 5:16s respectively, the nucleus of The Special Guests was born.
The 5:16s famously gained the enviable position of being given the support slot at the now legendary 'Wake up Woking' charity concert headlined by the 'Modfather' himself Paul Weller and his band.
Squire famously supported The Jam back in the day on the 'All Mod Cons Tour' and also scored a few hits themselves; 'Walking Down the Kings Road', 'My Mind goes round in Circles', 'Its a Mod Mod World' and 'Does Stephanie Know'.
Bass player Mark Sheepwash, with a wealth of experience in numerous other Mod, Blues and Soul bands proved to be the missing link to the rhythm section with Simon Holland on drums.
Enlisting lead, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Chris Pilott of many similar mod and soul bands including band 'High Vibe'' and with the same desire to play mod and soul influenced music, the now classic line up was ready to hit the live music scene with gusto.
Last but definitely not least they enlisted the Hammond playing excellence of ex 5:16s Keyboard and Saxophonist Andy James which completed the line up.
With the expert guidance and day to day from manager / promoter Vic Falsetta, the band set out to blend all the sounds of the original 60's mod era by the likes of The Small Faces / The Action / Spencer Davis / The Who etc and intertwined with the
late 70's mod revival era by the likes of Squire / The Jam etc and an ever growing set of original material. In April 2015, Simon departed for a life in the sun and our new drummer Adrian Joyner has slipped seamlessly behind the kit.
The bands first recording was a previously unreleased Jam demo, 'Left, Right & Centre' which went out on limited edition vinyl in aid of the Woking Hospice. The track was written by Paul Weller when he was 15 and released as a double A Side with Steve Brookes performing 'Feels So Good', also written when he was 15. The single was launched at a gig in London's 100 Club in February 2015.
Now with a totally original sound the band feel they bring something a bit different to the burgeoning live Mod scene with a tight punchy live sound and the skilled musicians to match
